One of my favourite books when i was a small gal!
It was written by Roger Duvoisin and is all about a lovely ramshackle house in the country.. and a family's quest to paint it JUST the right colour. It has a really cute lesson in the middle of the story, telling the reader how colours can mix together... to make... MORE colours! Yipppee!
I loved it that the family went for a drive in the country and simply found the perfect house.. it seemed so easy and lovely.
A beautiful book - i had it in paperback as a child, but recently found a lovely ex-library hard-cover copy in a Warragul op-shop recently. So i am most pleased.
Roger also illustrated 'Petunia', 'The Happy Lion', 'Veronica (the hippopotamus)' and 'White Snow, Bright Snow'. Do you have any of his gorgeous books?
