Oooh so excited! Our very first stitching night is tomorrow! Yippeee! Today I am off to buy embroidery hoops and floss and calico.. and will spend the afternoon tracing pics onto paper with a special transfer pencil - so all the girls can pick and choose and iron on till their hearts delight! Yay!
I popped over to the Flickr embroidery group and Floresita pointed me to some supercute outlines that she has uploaded to her pages... thankyou!
For the girls that are coming - if you have a simple outline already - bring it and we can trace it and make it into a transfer for you! Or just use one of ours.... or one we can cut from the Sublime Stitching book!
It will be squeezy but fun on the night - with lots of girls signing up for the night! If any of you lovely illustrating gals would like to email me a graphic - we can add it to the embroidery pool for the night - and we'll embroider your design! Yes! That would be lovely! Go on! Send us a drawing! It could be the start of something BIG and stitchy!
The next stitching night is to be held at 8pm on Friday 13th July! And then also Sunday 29th July at 7pm! Bookings via paypal payment of $15 - this fee is just to cover materials! If you are making a payment, then please state the date you are booking in for! Our paypal address is mike@meetmeatmikes.com Please note there are limited places as our store is not very big! All stitchers get a discount at Mikes on the night - if they choose to shop and stitch!
