Woo- hoo.. last night lots of great gals came to Mikes and stitched til their hearts content! There were hand-drawn designs, a lovely illustration from Aunty Cookie and Belle and Boo, Aunt Martha's Transfers, Sublime Stitching Transfers and more being flashed about and stitched up!
I made everyone a pear to take home.. to put their pins and needles in... we call it the Prickly Pear.. and you can download the pattern we based the pear on from here. I didn't bother to put a leaf on these pears - and i added a stem-which-doubles-as-a-hanger - and I sewed it up from top to bottom, piece by piece (which is different from the instructions provided). But it's a great little pear to make! I only realised this was a Heather Bailey fabulous design today when I went back to try and find the pattern again! Thanks Heather! Thanks Craftster!
Dana dropped off some of her and Kerri's lovely Market Baby things. A must for the edgy baby - lots of lovely bibs and bloomers and frocks and slacks too! And Belinda and her lovely sister were simply loaded down with beautiful cushions for Mikes! And (there's even more!) Pei Pei had more scarves tucked into her bag... with much felty bunny love!
Thankyou to everyone who came and to Brooke and Rin who helped make endless cups of tea and lemon cordial.. and refilled champagne.. and toted tim-tams and cupcakes with big smiles! And to our lovely new stitchers who came.. and to Lisse and Kirsty for coming back.. and just thanks! Shucks.
xx mikes

Thanks so much Pip, Brooke and Rin for the wonderful stitching night! Can't wait to join in on another one :-)
