Simply gorgeous. They are from a 1960s version of 'Puss in Boots'.. and who doesn't love a cat in boots?!

Wow -- they take me back! The first six years of my life were spent in communist Poland, and although my parents couldn't wait to get out (and we did), my childhood was spent immersing myself in books with illustrations like these.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, my parents brought many of my books over here, and I still have them (my 3yo already knows which ones to ask me to read instead of her Australian dad!). I should post some pix on my blog. Some of them are fabulous.
