Hey guys... OK... just to update you on our Softies for Mirabel Crafty Appeal - we have at least 35 soft toys already made. We have nearly 100 members who have joined the group. And we are aiming for around 200 toys - more if we can get them - there are about 600 kids who receive assistance from the Mirabel Foundation.

If you're new to our blog, then welcome! We'd love you to join us in our handmade christmas! You don't have to be a super great sewer! You just need to have a crack! All toys need to be child safe - no buttons or beads.

Go over to Flickr and join our little group - or just add a comment and let us know you're in!

Some lovely people are organising craft evenings - where they can get together and make a toy and share their sewing nouse.. perhaps you might like to do that... Whichever way you want to contribute.. we appreciate it!

xx mikes
ps - there are a couple of GREAT craft books just out - both are called 'SOFTIES' and they have great patterns in them! Or you can search your local op-shop for old craft books or Golden Hands magazines! Or do an internet search for 'free softie pattern'
I spy some Lark lovliness there, I'm taking mine to the markets tomorrow as my manual stitching thing to do between customers, love Posie
