The breakfast that was... find the recipe for Delia's Crumpets here and for Nigella's Raspberry Jam here. Bloody delicious.
My crumpet cooking tips! - Make the batter the day before for better flavour. Butter your egg rings with a brush and melted butter. Don't add a HUGE amount of mixture, nearly to the edges is fine, as when you flip them they'll sort themselves out a bit. Cook VERY slowly to prevent doughy centres - put the radio on, grab the paper, sip your coffee, take your time.
I'm baking bread today and Ari has a party to go to and Max is having a play at a mates house. Must go down the road and get Otis a book for his gift. It's all about books for birthdays in this house... or crafty things...
I'm posting something yummy for Sunday Supper tomorrow. And I'm going to the museum.... you should come too... it's only for a cuppla hours - and they have nice coffe there!
Happy weekend to you - I'm yet to post Gemmies posts for today... and the pics of the lovely Partridge and Pear softies... so I'll do that later on! The first lot of Softies for Mirabel photos are already up over here.
You can find a recipe for Soulemama's bread here, Miss Alicia Posy Gets Cosy posted Rice Pudding here and The very excellent The Small Object posted Spiced Cocoa and other good stuff over here!
