A Week Of Vintage Craft Patterns - Crochet, Embroidery and Knitting Too!

A completely gorgeous lady dropped off a box of vintage patterns for me today. This followed a couple of bags of vintage fabric and knitting needles a couple of weeks ago. Thank you Miss Completely Gorgeous! The fabric, patterns and needles belonged to her Aunt - and she wanted to be sure they went to a good home. And a good home I am.

There are lots of knitting patterns and some crochet patterns and some embroidery designs too. If those are your cup of tea, then Mike's is the place to be! They're not for sale - but I'll be scanning in as many patterns as I can for the next week or so! I hope you enjoy! If there's anything you've especially been looking for - let me know and I'll have a scout for you!

Don't forget to check out THIS post - and perhaps YOU might like to be my co-pilot on this very blog. Just come up with a theme for the week and away we go!

If you decide to post your own vintage pattern scans - then let me know - and I'll start a little side-bar just for Patterns! Just comment below and leave me your link! Just WAIT till you see the tea-cosy patterns that were in the box! Yikes Mike!

xx Mikes

  3. Ooooo, treasure!
Love the floral designs - makes me want to embroider - even though I know I'm not patient enough to finish anything!

  4. I love vintage needlework books - I have one that was published in 1911 for student teachers to use to 'train' their girls, all of whom would have been expected to go into service and/or run a family. I guess there would be no problem with copyright on that particular book, but (as I have some later stuff) what are the guidelines?

  6. No date on it - it's a little soft cover promotional booklet - Issued by J and P Coats of Scotland - to promote Anchor Stranded Cotton. Article No Q748-D.24!

I wish I had lovely people popping in to see me with boxes filled with such treasures.

  8. Does the page entitled "A few suggestions for embroidered articles" mean to imply that you can embroider on a small dog?
