The thing is, I feel the need to point the finger (nicely toward a few people). Some people are really doing good, enduring, inspiring stuff out there. So I may need to do a few of these posts! I read lots of blogs - and I see lots of stuff going on in people's lives - real stuff - and I think it's important to notice the real stuff.
I'm making my own award. It's called the 'Mikes Everyday Superstar' award. I don't have the button or the html code. I just want to give it to a couple of people, though. Because I reckon blogging and crafting is about a few things.
- being dignified and not making spelling mistakes
- nice manners
- trying to live as creatively and consciously as possible
- making crafty plans
- rising to the challenge
- always trying to improve your life
- maintaining your sense of humour at all times
- not being a bitchy cow
- not being a wa*&ker
- being nice to other girls
Curlypops - for soldiering on with enviable dignity and niceness in tricky times
Steph - for constantly under-estimating her own abilities and being not only tenacious, but clever, cute and funny too
Big Cat - for showing everyone how brave it is to go out on a limb. Really good. Really brave. Good on you.
Good on you girls. I feel really lucky to be sharing in what goes on with you. And it's nice of you to let us all in on some of it.
xx Mikes

ReplyDeleteWhile we're on the subject of wonderful blogs, I just have to say a big thank you to you Pip for all your super helpful articles on starting a blog. I've been a lurker for ages and your tips really inspired me to finally start my own - yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a crafter (more a vintage lover and Etsy enthusiast), but I read a lot of the blogs you recommend and I'm impressed by how lovely and supportive the craft blogging community is.
Your recent posts on cute foxes have been delightful too!
xx
