There are lots of green wrapping ideas to be had on the blogs this season. I think it's really important to choose your wrapping wisely. It's easier on the pocket and on the Earth too! Share your favourites, if you like... here are some of mine!

Lovely Mayamade has a fab tutorial on her green wrapping solution over here. The very excellent Georgie Love has the best wrapping technique I've ever seen here (and I kind of share her sentiment!)
You'll find Eco-Chick's rundown of the kindest ways to wrap here (including a cute picture of my craft-crush Amy Butler!), Treehugger's guide to eco-wrapping here, celery printed wrap over at Creature Comforts, potato printed wrap instructions here, eraser block printing here,
That's a whole lot of wrapping! PLUS... here's a list of things I like to wrap with, which are recycled or recyclable!

I love using my son's paintings, they are bright & colourful & we can't keep all of them!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of using calico fabric, which to me is a very Christmasy thing to do - coz it has been used for ham bags and with puddings.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to pack all of my pressies in drawstring bags so that the recipient has a re-usable bag and it's 2 pressies in one!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for including me in this incredible wrap-up round up, Pip! I laughed out loud at Georgie Love's wonderful technique, and I'm especially loving your long list of suggestions. Vintage maps and dress patterns make me so happy!
ReplyDeleteLupin over at Bugs and Fishes has some great ideas including her most recent post which uses flock wallpaper she found in a charity shop. http://bugsandfishes.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeletei love using bags that people can reuse so I cut up pillowcases in half & then half of that in half again so that there are 3 bags out of the pillow case with 2 different sizes depending on the size needed! :) I overlock on the outside for added thrill and excitment in contrasting colours. we also use old melways, kids paintings (less of those now), newspaper, melbourne magazine (beautiful pages & tough & glossy)...and anything else that springs to mind...or hand :) nice to meet you the other day!
ReplyDeleteAm I too late? I use out playing cards as gift tags...
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo late but I'm wading through my google reader backlog! I got some brown craft card from Reverse Garbage in Brisbane and created boxes that I doodled all over. Each box followed the form of the present inside.
ReplyDeleteI put some photos on my blog! http://definatalie.com/archives/144-Presents!.html
