What Happened With Amy.... and Embroidery Floss

Okay. Yesterday at 3pm I drove into the city to grab a couple of vintage books - and a whole lot of lovely fresh embroidery floss. Then I was going to come back and upload a little bit about floss and hoops for the Stitchalong people.

But once I got into the city, Cam rang and said.... "Come back NOW. Amy Butler is here!!!!". So I had to abandon the skein and book mission. Because I really wanted to see Amy! I drove super fast (but still legal, so dontcha worry) back through the city willing the traffic to part (which it didn't). Of course this was the day that I chose to wear no make-up and have dirty hair... and I only had a liquid eyeliner in my bag. So I was trying to put the eyeliner onto my (fair) lashes and get a bit of eyebrow action going too. I think it KIND of worked. I mean, I sort of looked a bit put together...

Lippy I had. And perfume... and I kind of made my hair look a wee bit less tangly. Anyhoo... I finally arrived back at the shop within ten minutes - looking sort of okay.... and there was MS AMY BUTLER and MR DAVID BUTLER smiling at me!

They were so lovely and cute and we had a lovely long chat about all sorts of things crafty and not crafty! And David gave us one of his CDs, because he's a bit of a rock n roll kinda guy. And Cam gave Amy an owly necklace. And sent them on a little tour of Gertrude Street... and it was just great.

So my point is - I'm going back to get the floss this morning. And I'll be adding to my embroidery tutorial around lunchtime - with a floss, hoop and backstitch installment!

So thanks for being patient - and understanding about Amy.
