ReplyDeleteMy granma could do anything with her hand tied behind her back - bake, knit, crochet, sew, embroider etc.
ReplyDeleteMy mum CAN do all those things but she doesn't do any of them. She hates cooking and does not enjoy sewing or knitting, though has done both for short periods at a couple of times in her life.
As a result I'm a self-taught baker with an obsession for fabrics and wool and other people's craftworks but no skills of my own. Like someone from generations of farmers but no land of her own, looking longingly over the fence at a lush paddock!
