Today before school, a little boy threw a stick at Ari. Well at Ari's eye, actually. It scratched his cornea and we spent the day at the hospital. Not much fun, but Ari was very brave and endured the examinations and ointments and dyes and things. Poor Ari. He's fine now. Apparently eyes can just heal at super hero speed. So that's great, huh? Nice to know we all have super hero eyes, isn't it?

Its awful that kids can be so horrid. Glad his eye is ok. What a scare!
ReplyDeleteWhy do children do these things to each other? It breaks the heart.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Ari is AOK.
In our house we have empathy with Ari. My big black dog especially empathises and wishes dog eyes healed at super-hero speed!

Yes they can be Superheros ... eyes and our kids! Up up and away Ari.
ReplyDeleteBig hug.
ReplyDeleteYay for Ari being so brave and to super hero eyes! Who knew : )
ReplyDeleteSo brave! I would be a big ball of sookiness if that happened to me. (In fact, it nearly did today - my kitten finds eyes fascinating and tried to maul mine this morning. Grr.)
ReplyDeleteHeal quick Ari! Take care
A few years ago now, my SIL suffered a similar fate, self inflicted though. A splinter of wood he was chopping for a warming winter fire flew up into his eye with what appeared to be dire consequences. However it was able to be removed by a wonderful opthalmologist and the damaged cornea has healed. He has never chopped wood since! So pleased your little one is undamaged
ReplyDeleteOooowwwww! Poor Ari! Glad to hear he's better. Sometimes being a superhero can be tough!
