A Week of Special Stuff - Day Two

I am totally into Norwegian Ceramics. I know. It's a little obscure... but I really especially love Figgjo pieces. I heart this Figgjo Lotte Teapot SO MUCH. We don't use it very often, because I'm scared of breaking the lid (as I did with my old Wedgwood one!) - but it takes pride of place on my dining room shelves. I bought it after my first happy meeting with Hardie Grant (my publisher) - and I try to mark important events with a piece of Norway now. Is that weird?!

I have lots of other Figgjo pieces too - in their Market and Folklore and Daisy designs. They are special. I like their happy, clunky shapes, their cheery colours and their sketchy designs.

I love them so very much I had to buy this 'Lotte' necklace when I saw it. I know. It's a bit Carrie Bradshaw, but I do consider myself the Carrie Bradshaw of Norwegian Ceramics. Don't you always think of me like that?! I think it's funny that no one will have any idea what I'm talking about when I tell them Lotte is not my name. And that my necklace is a tribute to Figgjo. They will think I'm loco. But I'm okay with that.
