This week we will be enjoying some tasty Indian foods - not just because we love it - but also to celebrate Indian culture here in Australia, and to also make a positive stand against violence. You might've heard about the Vindaloo Against Violence campaign (aka Vagainstv? People are flocking to their local eatery on Wednesday.
I thought this might be a nice time to introduce you to one of my favourite Flickr people, Meena Kadri aka Meanest Indian.
I've fallen in love with India from afar via her alluring, vibrant photographs of the streets, the signage and the people of India. As a big fan of handpainted lettering and graphics, Meena's photos are a total carnival for all that goodness.
Here are a few photos of some staff in an Indian Coffee House in Trivandrum, 'cos it's good to think about the people of India, not just the flavour.
