I am up to things. I'm trying to catch up after The Wedding! It's been a bit of an effort, to be honest, but I am getting there!
Today I went for a walk by myself for the first time in ages. I have been soooooo stupid busy that I haven't really been doing anything by myself. By myself is really important, I think. It's a good way to gather yourself up, have a quiet think, get happy, reflect, watch, do, relax.
I bought a couple of CDs from my local (Polyester) because it's super important to keep buying music from independent retailers. I bought this and this. I am loving them. It's so good to have NEW stuff to listen to, isn't it?
Do you like by yourself-ing, too? What are you listening to?

That rug is beautiful! Is it your own pattern? The cupcake looks pretty darn good too!
ReplyDeleteToday is the first afternoon in ages that I've had some 'myself' time and it's blissful!
ReplyDeleteOne of my girlfriends is making cakes for her kiddies from the WW Cookbooks, so I showed her the wedding cake photos and she was completely and utterly blown away!
I love solitude, and I don't get much anymore since I've had a baby. Yesterday was wonderful, though - I got an incredible haircut, took five minutes for Padre coffee then spent three blissful hours sewing with the Preston Brown Owls at GJ's. It was like a little holiday!
ReplyDeleteI think that "me time" is very important. When I don't enough, I turn into a big... hmmm can't think of polite word to use here. Anyhow, it keeps me grounded and sane. (Well, as sane as I will ever be :-) )
