How are you? Yikes. It was super hot in Melbourne today. We headed down to Portsea quite early to have a bit of beachy time. Gosh. It's such a long walk down to the beach from the car park. And the walk back up is SUPER PAINFUL! So steep! Such hot sand! Argh! But it's nice to sit on the beach and watch everyone surfing and body boarding and having nice times. Even though there are flies. And flying sand. And wind. And scorching sun. It's STILL really good. Isn't it? Even though you have to have a heart attack as you fight your way back up to the car park. It's still good. Isn't it? Is it?
xx Pip
PS : I got Rin and I tickets to see Jamie Oliver at The Regent Theatre and I am super excited to be in the same room with BOTH of them : more here.
PPS : I also got invited to L'Oreal Fashion Week. Which is a miracle. I never get invited to stuff like that! Whodathunkit?!

You sound like me talking about the beach- I have to convince myself it's good to go because the boys love it & when Im in the water I love it too...
ReplyDeleteJamie Oliver!!! I'm checking to see if he is coming to Perth. I love him so much!
Yep it is good, the beach. Always hard yakka leaving, but somehow always worth it! Screaming kids 'n all...
ReplyDeletethis made me laugh Pip. I try SO hard to enjoy the beach but not so deep down I really can't stand it. The sand everywhere including the food, the getting sunburnt, a wonky fringe all filled with dry salty water….. give me the cool hills any day! I will often build my shelter and sit inside it until it is time to go home (which I do gratefully!)
ReplyDeleteIf we have to try so hard to enjoy it, should we even bother?
